Taranaki Maori Rugby Team At Parikino

Last Saturday, at Parikino, the members of the visiting Taranaki Maori team, which played Wanganui for the Tuera Shield, were guests at Panikino. Among those present were Messrs. C. Broughton (Patea Rugby Football Club), Whai Pine (Huia Club, Tdhape and a member of the Wanganui Rugby Union’s Selection Committee), Alex Takarangi (member of the Kaierau Club, a former Wanganui representative and for several years a selector and member of the management committee representing the Maori race) and T. Aperahama (of the Kai Iwi Club). The visitors thoroughly enjoyed the night at a dance and were sorry to leave, but the cows of Taranaki had to be milked next, morning and the factories had to be ready for the cream or the milk.
