Old Salts Say Albatross Is First They Have Seen On Waitemata Harbour
AUCKLAND. Sept. IS, <PA). A young albatross seen swimming in the harbour near Princes Wharf today was described by Auckland's "old salts" as "the first albatross they had ever seen on Waitemata." Local seamen and retired sailors along the waterfront, some with 40 and more years experience, said they had never seen one in so far before.
