DAFFODIL AND SPRING FLOWER SHOW; LIST OF RESULTS

Gross Proceeds £330, An Increase On Amount Taken Last Year

Gross proceeds from the Marton daffodil and spring flower show, held in the Marton Civic Theatre on Tuesday, were in the vicinity of £330. This amount represents a slight Increase on last year, when the show was held in the Victory Hall. Trophies wo n at the show were presented by the vicar, Rev. Nigel Williams, on Tuesday night, who congratulated the winners on their success. Mr. Williams announced that Mr. P. Cox, of the Children’s Garden Circle in Wanganui, would be visiting Marton on October 10 to give a demonstration of making sand posies and miniature gardens. The snecial trophy for the ' most outstanding exhibit in the decorative classes was won by Mrs. Stafford.
