DUNEDIN. .Sept. 7 (PA)—The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., reports that 128,000 opossum skins were sold today with good competition. Market, advanced 2s to 4s 9d. compared with the November sales. Some prices realised were: Super red browns, 13s Tld. first rod browns. 13s 9d; second red browns, 9s ltd; red browns, 3s sd; super red necks, 17s; first red necks, 17s 7d; second red necks. 13s 10d; rod necks, 5s 7d; super greys, 17s 7d; first greys, 15s; second greys, 8s lOd; greys, 2s 9d. super blues. 17s 7d; first blues, 15s; second blues, 8s lOd; blues 2s lid. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd., report that 44,000 skins were offered by them at the Dunedin opossum sale on Thursday Prices showed a sharp rise when compared with October last year. They quote for good skins:—Browns. 12s to 14s 6d; blacks, 8s 6d to Ils 6d; reds, 9s 6d to 15s; greys, 11s 6d to 15s 6d; blues, 13s to 15s 6d; supers, up to Is 6d higher. .
