AUSTRALIAN TRADE UNIONS TO REVIEW MILITARY TRAINING

MELBOURNE, Sept. 7. Labour’s traditional opposition to compulsory military training will be the subject of early consideration* by the trade union movement. Today the inter-State executive ot the Australian Council of Trade Unions decided that the circumstances were such 'that the six State Trades and Labour Councils should be given an opportunity of considering whether the trade union movemenet should adhere to the policy of opposition or whether world events, particularly those existing in the East, warranted a review of this policy.
