Wool Prices May Go “Really Sky High”
SYDNEY, Sept. 4.—A representative of Dalgety and Company, Ltd., predicts that wool will go “really sky high” next week if (he Americans increase their buying, as is suggested. At last week’s Sydney sales, agents purchased between 8000 and 10,000 bales of woo! for American interests, which was about the same as in previous years. In Melbourne today, representatives of New Zealand, South Africa and Australia will confer to consider suggestions for reserve wool prices drafted at the Commonwealth wool conference in London early this year. The Minister of Commerce and Agriculture will act as chairman. The conference will consider asking the international wool study group to allow other countries to comment j on the proposals.
