Wanganui Wins One Basketball Match At Marton, Loses Two

MARTON, Last Night (OC).—Marton representative basketball teams concluded their 1950 season on a more triumphant note on Saturday, when two teams were successful against Wanganui, and the other narrowly defeated by th e margin of one goal. AH games were played at Marton. Results were:—Wanganui senior B 11, v. Marton A 10; Marton B 21, v. Wanganui thirds A 16; Marton C 23, v. Wanganui thirds B 14. None of the matches produced very impressive basketball. The Marton teams seemed to be in need of match play, showing the effect of a week or two without games.
