WOMAN WHO IS IN IRON LUNG GIVES BIRTH TO 61b. BABY GIRL

NEW YORK, Sept. 2 (Recd. 6 p.m.) —-A woman infantile paralysis victim, who has been in an iron lung since August 31, gave birth today to a 61b. girl. The mother was removed from the iron lung for a few minutes to complete the delivery. A doctor said that though the woman was paralysed from the neck down the birth was normal and the mother suffered no ill effects.
