Eloped Couple Marry And Civil War Averted

LONDON, Sept 2 (Recd. 6pm).— Twenty-two-year-old Thassoula Petraghiorghis, whose elopment with Constantine Kefaloghianni brought Crete to the brink of civil war, was set free today after marrying Constantine.

Early this morning the married pair presented themselves to General Samuel, commander of the forces sent to Crete to prevent an outbreak arising from the affair.
