SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mrs K. Handley, Waitotara, has been visiting Hamilton. Mrs. W. A. Fendall, of Hawera, is spending a few days in Wanganui. Mrs A. G. Smart and her daughter are Hawera visitors to Wanganui for the competitions festival. Mrs D. A. Watson, of New Plymouth, is visiting Wanganui for the competitions festival and is staying with her father, Mr Cameron, Turakina. Mrs E. L. Dickson, formerly of Wanganui, and now of Auckland, leaves Wellington by the Akaroa today for America on a visit to hej; daughter. She will fly from Panama to .New York, and later will journey to England to visit a sister in Cornwall. Mrs E. A. Brown, of Utiku, returned home yesterday after spending the school holidays in Wanganui with her mother, Mrs C. A. Piper, Heads Road. Mrs Piper has as her guests, Mrs John Piper and her mother, Mrs E. Graham, of Scotland. Tiny Tots Photo Competition. The opening of the Tiny Tots Photo competition will be held this afternoon. Organised by the Wanganui Free Kindergarten, there are about 400 photos in the display. Voting in the competition should be keen.
