Company In Liquidation.
The Rapanui Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., is being wound up voluntarily after being in existence for about 40 years. The company’s factory on Rapanui Road was one of the smallest in the Wangaui district and also one of the oldest. It was supplied by a few farmers in the area and producec about 100 tons of cheese annually The operation of these small factories however, was found to be uneconanrcal and the last cheese was made there in May, when the season closed. At r recent meeting shareholders carried r resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily.
