CRUTCHINGS SELL WELL; 8S. 4D FOR FLEECE WOOL —A.N.Z. RECORD
CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night (PA) —A crutching sale was held today and the offering comprised approximately 6000 bales. The crutchings opened up in good condition, being bulkier than usual and rather brighter than last year. Included in the offering was a small quantity of early shorn fleece wool. There was a fair bench of buyers, but competition was mainly confined to a few representaitives.
Prices for crutchings were fully on a par with recent sales, and the small quantity of fleece wool and oddments sold at remarkable prices, up to IOOd being obtained for a small line of quarter-bred, which is an all-time New Zealand record.
