SEVEN-A-SIDE PRIMARY SCHOOLS’ RUGBY IN WANGANUI ON SEPT. 23

The first full-scale seven-a-side primary schools’ Rugby tournament to be held in Wanganui for many years will be held on the racecourse and Spriggens Park on Saturday, September 23, beginning at 9 a.m. The Wanganui Primary Schools’ Rugby Union, which is conducting the tournament, hopes to play the finals as curtain-raisers to the WanganuiTaranaki B representative match here on the same day.

Schools as far afield as Raetihi, Ohakune and Taihape have been asked to take part m the tournament, which will be conducted in three grades, according to weight. Weight limits for the grades will be 7st., Bst., and 9st., with an age limit of 15. The Bst. and 7st. grades will be played on half-size grounds with small posts.
