British Commonwealth Universities’ Association in Auckland

AUCKLAND, Last Night (PA).-A Mayoral “At Home" was held in the Town Hall tonight in honour of members of the executive of the Association of Universities of the British Commonwea’th. The Mayor, Sir John Allum, welcomed the university delegates. The “growing consciousness” of the corpplex function of the university and of its importance to society was discussed by Sir Philip Morris, C.8.E., M.A., vice-chancellor of the University of Bristol, in an address. Sir Philip is a member of the executive.
