To decide the “E” section winner in :he indoor bowls competition for the Manchester Unity Cup, Felt and Texiles (Olsen) played Power Board iHowes) on the Post and Telegraph ’reen. The game was keenly contested and the Felt and Textiles team, □laying good bowls, maintained the lead obtained early in the match to win 20-15. This team will play the “A” section winner, Woollen Mills (Mrs Dempster) on the Cosmopolitan Club green at 7.30 p.m. next Tuesday. Wellington, with 51 points, won the ali-day tournament held in the Sports Centre, Wellington, when six teams from Palmerston North, Hutt Valley, Wellington and Wanganui participated. Hutt Valley was second with 37 points, followed by Palmerston North 30 and Wanganui 26. In a Signal Challenge Shield match P. and T. (Ogg), the holders, retainel the shield by defeating Felt and Textiles (Cranfleld) 29-8.
