ADDRESS-IN-REPLY DEBATE ENDS; 75 MEMBERS TOOK PART
PARLIAMENT BLDGS., Last Night (PA). —The Address-in-Reply Debate in the House of Representatives ended tonight, and the House approved the formal resolution that a respectful Address in reply, as read by Mr. Speaker (Hon. M. H. Oram), be presented to His Excellency, the Gover-nor-General (Sir Bernard Freyberg), on a day to be determined by His Excellency. Seventy-five of the 80 members of the House participated in the debate on the Address-in-Reply, which was moved by the member for Palmerston North (Mr. W. B. Tennent, Govt.), Speakers in the debate tonight were the Ministher of Lands (Mr. Corbett), who concluded the speech he began last night, and the Minister of Labour (Mr .Sullivan). Mr. Tennent then briefly replied to the debate and the House carried the. formal resolution.
