MR. NEHRU’S WARNING TO INDONESIA ABOUT WASTED TALK
JACARTzx, June 11 (Reed. 7 p.m.) The Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Pandit Nehru, addressing an Indonesian youth meeting at Bandung today, warned against empty enthusiasm, wasted talk, and petty conflicts in attempting to rebuild the newly liberated Indonesian nation. He said: “Many of yesterday’s slogans are now out of date. Talk of anti-imperialism must be in different terms today because imperialism in the form of colonialism is no longer a menace, though it still continues in some places.” Observers expressed the opinion that Mr. Nehru’s warning was a mild admonition to President Sukarno, who during the first three days of a tour with Mr. Nehru, had been drawing huge crowds in every town and vil-
