Eltham Resident Fatally Injured By Car
N. PLYMOUTH, Last Night (PA) One of the most prominent citizens of Eltham was killed on Saturday night when he was struck by a motor-car as he was crossing the street in the town, and received multiple injuries. He was Mr. Arthur George Whiting, aged 76, a builder. The driver of the car was Mr. Kenneth Mills, Swansea Street, Wellington. Mr. Whiting had been a resident of Eltham for many years. He was a borough councillor and a member of the management committee of the Taranaki Rugby Union.
