jackdaw Scratched For Grandstand Steeples
The Wanganui-owned Jackdaw was withdrawn at 4 p.m. yesterday from his engagement in the Grandstand Steeplechase on Saturday. There Is nothing amiss with the Jay gelding, who is likely to contest the Wanganui Steeplechase on Monday. It is understood that he will be ridden by C. Christensen, who was associated with his success in the steeplechae at Otaki.
