Foreign Matter In Returned Milk Bottles Is Causing Concern

Milk vendors in Wanganui are to be circularised asking for their cooperation in returning milk bottles free from foreign matter such as pieces of paper and milk tokens. The decision was made at the monthly meeting of the Wanganui Milk Treatment Corporation held yesterday. In his report the manager, Mr S. V. Howells, said trouble was occurring again as the result of foreign matter being left in returned bottles. He explained that paper and other matter left in bottles was hard to detect when washing bottles at the treatment house as it was done In an artificial light. Mr W. S. N. Ronnie suggested that the vendors’ attention should be drawn to the matter for rectification. The meeting agreed to seek the co-opcration of vendors in the matter.
