DONATIONS TO FUND FOR HOME FOR THE AGED

An incorporated body has been formed with the purpose of purchasing the home of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hope Gibbons, “Hikurangi.” Sedgebrooke, Wanganui, to be established as a home for aged people. Anderson 10 0 S.T 10 0 Total to date £3 0 0 The purchase of the home is contingent upon a Government subsidy, and news has been received that such a subsidy will now be forthcoming. The home will be undenominational and has the support of the following local bodies:— The Mayor and City Council. British Medical Association. Chamber of Commerce. National Council of Women. Junior Chamber of Commerce. Returned Services’ Association. Old Folks’ Association. Anglican vestries of the city.
