Distributing Coy s report, on the sale held today at the Marton saleyards. “A medium yarding of good quality sheep, slightly less than advertised numbers came forward. The bulk of the offering were shorn wether lambs, which met with strong competition, showing a rise on recent sales, with one good quality line realising 34s 6d. A total clearance being effected in this section. In-lamb ewes sold • readily, especially younger ewes, one line of m.a. ewes being knocked down at 48s lOd. In the cattle section weaner Jersey heifers comprised the bulk of the yarding and sold readily with one line realising £B. “The following were the prices realised:—Wether lambs, 34s 6d, 33s 2d to 29s 3d; wether lambs smaller, 24s 2d; in-lamb ewes (m.a.) 48s lOd; inlamb ewes (1 ycci) 345; weaner* Jersey heifers, £B, £7 4s tn £6.
