ANZAC DAY AT MANGAWEKA

Anzac Day was fittingly kept tn Mangaweka, where in light misty rail, a parade of the memoers of the local branch of the R.S.A. was followed b} a public service in the Max Theat re. At 9.15 the men of the R.S.A., led by their president, Mr C. R. Merrett, and followed by the local troop of the Boy Scouts, paraded from their club rooms along the main street, to the Memorial Gates of the school, where wreaths were laid by Mr Merrett (R.S.A.), Mr A. R. Tippet (Town Board), Cecily Warren and Ken Marsh (school children). Mrs T. Pairman (Red Cross) and Mrs R. J. Jackson (Women's Institute).
