Berlin Paper Says AntiSemitic Excesses Are Again Very Vigorous

BERLIN, April 21 <Recd. 6 pm).— Berlin s Jewish .veekly • Der Veg’’ alleged today that there were signs in Western Germany of “the rebirth of anti-Semitic excesses comparable to those in the blackest days of 1938.”

The only difference was that today anti-Simitic mobs did not wear brown shirts, the newspaper said, adding* “Instead of a wave of protest and firm actidb by judicial authorities, these scandalous outbreaks have been met only by lame apologies by party politicians. Terror and pogroms can be countered only by the sharpest action.”
