PLANE WITH 44 ABOARD MISSING

OTTAWA, Jan. 29 (Rce. JO pm).—A widespread air and land search has failed to find any trace of a United States Air Force Skymaster which has been missing since Thursday with 44 persons aboard. The aircraft was flying from the Anchorage, Alaska, io Great Falls. Montana. Its last reported position was over Yukon territory. Search parties are still investigating a report by a Forest Ranger that he saw a plane over Yukon territory on Thursday and heal’d a “dull thud” after it flew out of sight.
