French Premier Asks For Confidence Vote On The 1950 Budget
PARIS, Dec. 23 (Recd. 6pm).—The French Prime Minister, Mr Georges Bidault, last night demanded the National Assembly to vote confidence on the Coalition Government’s 1950 Budget proposals. The vote cannot be taken until after midnight tonight as the Constitution provides that a clear day must, elapse between the request for a vote of confidence and the taking of the vote. The Budget proposals haxve been twice rejected by the Radical dominated Assembly Finance Commission.
