ROYAL CHRISTMAS AT SANDRINGHAM

LOX DOX, Dec. 23 (Rec. 6 pm).—Queen Mary, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duchess of Kent, with their children, will all join Their Majesties, the King and Queen and Princess Margaret at Sandringham for Christmas.

The Royal grandparents will also, have charge of Prince Charles during his parents’ absence in Malta.

Sandringham House is being decorated with holly and mistletoe, and with the bright flowers of an Oriental Christmas tree, which is cultivated in hot-houses. Illuminated and decorated, the Christmas tree will stand in the ballroom flanked by trestle tables on which the King and Queen will set out their gifts for their guests and members of their household.

On Christinas morning, if the weather is line, the Royal Family and members of their house party will attend service at Sandringham Church.—Special Correspondent, N.Z.P.A.
