MARTON D.H.S. WINS PRESS SHOOTING SHIELD COMPETITION
MARTON, Last Night (OC).—The Marton District High School has won the “Press’’ (Christchurch) Shooting Challenge Shield gaining top marks for New Zealand with an average score of 92.4. The shield is competed for by a team of 10 boys under 17 years of age. This is the school’s first success in the contest.
For the past two years the school has won the Earl Roberts Imperial Challenge Shield competed for by schools in the Empire.
