BIG RISE IN MEAT KILLED FOR EXPORT
There are big increases in the Dominion killings of meat for export for the 1949-50 season from October 1 to December 3 compared with the .194849 season to November 27, 1948. Increases of 288,004 carcases (6107 tons) are shown in the figures issued by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board. The same can be said of the stocks in store, where the comparisons over the same periods show an increase of 161,060 in carcases and 10,314 in tonnage.
