Heavy Fines And Managers Sent To Prison LONDON, Dec. 14.—A Hatton Garden diamond firm was convicted in the London Magistrate's Court today on charges of having evaded the export restrictions, and was ordered to pay costs and fines totalling £137,550. The managing-director of the company was sentenced to nine months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay fines and costs of £137,100 or serve a further 12 months’ imprisonment. The manager of the company was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment and ordered to pay fines and costs of £6525, or a further 12 months’ gaol.
