R.S.A. PRESIDENT HOPES FORMORE INTEREST IN REMEMBRANCE DAY

The hope that more members would attend the ceremony of laying a wreath on the Cenotaph in Queen’s Park next Remembrance Day was expressed by the president (Mr. H. R. Giiberd) at last night’s quarterly meeting of the Wanganui Returned Services’ Association. He said that at the last ceremony 0n1y... five or six members of the executive had been present.

Remembrance Day was one day which should bo observed by every returned man, said Mr. Giiberd. Next year he hoped that there would be a large parade of returned men. The ceremony was observed on the Sunday nearest to November 11, the day on which Armistice Day used to be observed.
