IF PEOPLE MEET THE COST OF DELIVERIES THEY CAN HAVE THEM

WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA).— “If the people are prepared to meet the cost of deliveries they are not going to be denied the right to have them. A good many deliveries are not made today because the extra cost involved cannot be recovered,” said the Prime Minister elect, Mr. Holland, at a Press conference tonight.

He was replying to a questioner who asked what steps the new Government proposed to take to implement the election policy that household deliveries would be resumed.

“No trader in need of delivery vehiclse will go short of the necessary equipment,” said Mr. Holland. “We have to ensure that traders are enabled to provide household deliveries.”
