MR. DOIDGE TOLEAD N.Z. DELEGATION TO EMPIRE CONFERENCE IN CEYLON
WELLINGTON, Last Night (P.A.) —The Minister of External Affairs in the new Government, Mr. F. W. Doidge, will fly to the Ceylon conference, leaving Auckland on January 2, and arriving at Ceylon in time for the meeting, which will open on January 9, said the Prime Ministerelect (Mr. Holland) at a Press interview tonight. The complete delegation to represent New Zealand had not yet been decided upon, added Mr. Holland, but it would include a senior and junior officer of the External Affairs Department. Mr. Holland said New Zealand had not yet received an invitation to attend the celebrations which were to be held on the declaration of India’s status as a republic, but it was expected that a New Zealand representative would he asked to them.
