Lines Of Young Cattle Keenly Sought At Fordell Sale

With warm weather and excellent growth prevailing buyers attending the Fordell stock sale sought lines of young cattle, state the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. For the greater part of the sale competition was keen and vendors were satisfied with values. A pen of 2-year whiteheaded steers was keemy sought and was traded at £l3 19s. An offering of heifers by the same vendor, also white headed, realised £ll 11s.

Prices were:—2 and 3-year Hereford steers, £l2 17s 6d to £l4 ss: 2year P.A. steers, £l3 4s to £l3 19s; 2year P.A. heifers, £l2 to £l2 Ils; yearling P.A. heifers, £7 15s to £8 17s 6d; forward Hereford heifers, to £l3 3s; 3-year P.A. heifers, £lO 10s to £ll 10s; yearling P.A. steers, £8 12s 6d to £ll 19s; medium yearling heifers. £7 15s to £8 10s; Jersey yearling heifers, to £ll 2s.
