MR. Fraser’s Tactics

Sir,—Your two recent leading articles on the tactics of Mr. Fraser as Leader of the Labour Party should set all sane and right thinking citizens of this fair land seriously to consider if they still desire to be comletely controlled by the Socialists. The fact of the matter is that Labour is so scared of losing their insatiable lust and power to rule and control the minds and lives of the people that they have resorted to bringing in 'teenagers through their election slogans (as published advertisements show) the old and worn out fear complex bogey, in the hope that this fearcomplex will so frighten the electors that they will be foolish enough to vote them another lease of misrule and domination. The frenzied efforts of Mr. Fraser to side track the issue is laughable in the extreme, for it shows conclusively just how bankrupt he and his party are of that true spirit of common fairness, decencyand fair play. But the day is past, Sir, when the public can be fooled and hoodwinked all the time. The writing is on the wall, hence their complete change,of front, soft peddling, rosy promises, and last but not least, their denial that their sole and only aim is the complete socialisation of the means of production, supply, exchange and everything else.—l am, etc., C. E. KNIGHT. Wanganui, 2/11/49.
