Motor-Cyclist Killed
NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night (PA).—Thrown heavily to the ground when his motor-cycle struck the back of a motor-car* at New Plymouth this afternoon, Maurice Vickers, aged 19, died upon his admission to hospital. His skull was fractured. It was raining hard at the time of the accident, which occurred as Ernest Allan Brooking was backing his car on to the roadway from a residential entrance. Vickers was a locomotive fireman in the employ of the Railway Department. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Vickers, of Pungarehu.
