Guildhall Banquet To Be Televised
LONDON, Nov. 2, (Recd. 7.10 pm)—The Lord Mayor of London’s annual banquet is to be televised on November 9. It is the first formal banquet to be televised and viewers will see Mr. Attlee and the new Lord Mayor, Sir Frederick Rowlands, as they make their speeches. There were lengthy negotiations between the City of London Corporation and the 8.8. C. before it was agreed that this “viewing” could take place. Tests are now being made.
