STEAMER HITS WRECK OF GERMAN CRUISER GNEISENAU

LONDON, Oct. 4 (Reed. 6pm).— Reuter’s correspondent at The Hague says the Swedish steamer Mira, 1500 tons, has radioed for immediate assistance after striking the wreck of the German battle cruiser Gneisenau, near Gedser lightship, at the southern tip of the Danish Island of Falster. Two of the crew are reported to be injured.
