SIX-FIGURE OFFER REFUSED FOR NIMBUS
LONDON, Oct. 3 (Recd. 10pm). —Mrs A. Glenister, owner of the Derby-winning colt Nimbus, has refused a six-figure offer for him from the United States, says the “Daily Telegraph.” The offer far exceeds the record price ever given for a horse in training. Mrs Glenister said the colt was not for sale to a foreign buyer. In 1938 Mr M. H. Benson gave an Italian owner £60,000 for Ncarco, sire of Nimbus.
