Nominations totalling 182 were received for the Waverley Racing Club’s spring meeting, to be held on Monday, October 24 (Labour Day). There are 20 entered for the Waverley and E. P. Symes Commemoration Cup, the principal event, 17 in th* open sprint, the Brewer Memorial, and 21 in the Moumahaki Hack Cup. The largest fields are 30 in the Palea Maiden Race, for three-year-olds only, 26 in the Morton Memorial Trial, for non-Winners four years old and upward, and 27 in the Jackson Memorial Stakes.
