TE AROHA, Last Night (PA)—The Te Aroha Jockey Club’s spring meeting was held yesterday under overcast but fine conditions. The track was in splendid order, slightly easy in the morning but drying out rapidly. There were a number of good dividends. Foxlyn paid over half a century in winning the Mokena Hack Handicap, and Dark Victory, Lady Contact and Rating also paid over the quarter-century for win dividends. Fyrtsinde, Lady Contact and Beaute paid dividends of over a score for places. The attendance was excellent and the totalisator handled £lOB,OBO, a record for the spring meeting. Last year’s figure was £78,182 10s. Results:—
