RANGITIKEI HUNT CLUB FEILDS FOR SATURDAY
Provision has been made for divi- \ sions in four races at the Rangitikei ( Hunt Club’s meeting at Marton on i Saturday, these being the Closebarn Maiden Race, the Norwood Hack Cup, c the Riddiford Handicap and the s Springrove Hack Handicap. x The Riddiford Handicap field is only ( one over the safety number and divi- I sions may be avoided with one t scratching. In the Closeburn Maiden i Race, however, there are 47 accept- 1 ors, necessitating three divisions unless there are three scratchings, in 1 which case there will be two divisions. < Stake-money in the Riddiford Han- 1 dicap and the Norwood Hack Cup will i be increased to £420 if there are divi- I sions, and there will be an increase in the Springrove Hack Handicap to 1 £270. Should there be three divisions ] in the Closeburn Maiden the stake 1 will be £3OO, with £lOO for the win- 1 nee of each division and nothing for j the other placed horses.
