At Trentham on Saturday, when the Wellingion Racing Clubs winter meeting concluded, D. The Woodville trainer S. ivicNaugnton was called before the judicial committee to explain the late scratching of Lady Minter in the Crofton Handicap. The committee found that McNaughton had no legitimate excuse for not scratching the horse before the official time expired as the horse was not at Trentham and he had decided the day previously that it was not to run. McNaughton was given a reprimand and a line of £lO was imposed. C.J.C. Rehandicaps Rehandicaps for the main events at the Grand National meeting have been declared as follow: — Grand National Steeplechase: Hakim, 71b io 9.7. vVinter Cup: Swift Robin, 71b to 8.7. Flying Attack and Minion have not been rehandicapped for the Steeplechase and Hurdles respectively, and the wins of St. Simper and Saieda did not render them liable to a rehandicap.
