WAR MEMORIAL POSTAL BALLOT

Residents of Taihape and district are reminded that the preferential postal ballot to decide what form the. district’s war memorial will take, closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22. All votes must be posted to reach Ihe returning officer, Mr. W. Hudson, by that time, or left at the borough office. The voting paper contains four proposals, namely: (1) Memorial Park; (2) Memorial Swimming Baths; (3) Memorial Rose Garden; (4) Memorial Community Centre.

In recording their votes it is necessary for voters to indicate their order of preference. The vote will be informal if the voter does not place a number against each of the four proposals.
