AMATEUR BOXING TOURNEY IN OPERA HOUSE TOMORROW
Good talent has been secured by th* Wanganui Boxing Association for it* all-amateur tournament to be held in the Opera House tomorrow night, Special interest will be taken in th* feature bout between Beale (Wellington) and Stanford (Wanganui) over six rounds. The officials for the tournament tomorrow night are:—Announcer, Mr I. Manley; sole selector, Mr T. Souter; secretary-treasurer, Mr T. Jackson, assisted by Mr L. Koorey; timekeepers, Messrs B. Hooker and S. McKernan: house manager, Mr C. Young; official seconds. Messrs R. Bevan and T. Tume; call and glove stewards, Messrs G. Hutchly. R. M. Harris and F. R. Grant; ringside stewards, Messrs H. Ennis, J. Morgan, V. J. O'Brien and R. Baldwin; weight steward, Mr K. Chote; referees and judges, Drs. H. K. Christie and J. K. .1 Moore and Messrs N. Gray, B. Coughlin, H. Ennis and T. G Mullins. NEXT PRO CONTEST The next professional contest Is scheduled for Wanganui about July 19, between Barney Clark (Auckland) and Roy Stevens tor the light-heavy-weight championship, the title of which is held by Clark.
