ALL BLACKS WILL FACE HEAVY PACK IN SECOND MATCH

Great Interest In First Game; 40,000 Expected At Newlands

CAPETOWN, May 30 (Rec. 1 a.m.) —The Boland team to meet the All Blacks in the second match of the tour Contains probably the heaviest and tallest forwards of any-South African side.

The average weight of the pack is 14 stone lOlbs. On Saturday Boland drew 14-all with Eastern Province, who meet the All Blacks in the fourth match. The Boland team is drawn from a country area and the forwards are surprisingly mobile for their weight, but the backs lack finish, and are inclined to over kick.* The Boland team is: Full-back, Neethling. Three-quarters: Winds, van Rensburg, Marais. Centres: Underhay and Gibson. Halves: Cronje and Fourie. Front row: P. Rossouvv 6ft., “5.2), Bester (6ft. 13st. 101 b.), C. Koch (6ft. liin, 14.12). Middle row: C. Rossouw (6ft., 14.4), Kriel (6ft. 4in., 15.5); W. Koch (6ft. 4Mn., 15st.), Du Toit (6ft. 2in., 14.10). Back row: Burger (6ft. 2in., 14.9). Marais, Cronje, Gibson, C. Koch, W. Koch, Kriel, and Burger took part in the Springbok trials and both Kochs have been included in the 32 players announced from which the Springbok team will be chosen for the first Test. The All Black team to play Boland

will he announced on Wednesday. Though rain has been forecast the weather has been fine in Capetown for the past week and the prospects are for good conditions for the first match on Tuesday. Tremendous interest centres in the fixture and the rush for seats has been comparable with that for the North v. South match in Wellington last season. A crowd of 40,000 is expected, which represents the maximum holding capacity of the Newlands ground, but thousands are unlikely to gain admission. The All Blacks are keen that all their matches should be 40 minutes each way, and a recommendation to this effect has been referred by.the South African Rugby board to the various unions. AU matches here, except international fixtures, have 35 minute spells. Coetzee replaces Ochse , at centre in the Western Province Universities team against the All Blacks. Ochse is a Springbok “possible,” but has been suffering from an injury received in the trials.
