The apparatus was placed on a motor truck and in a very short time had successfully top-dressed a large area of fairly rough country toward the upper end of Mr. Matthew’s Tara puruhi property. Several different kinds of fjrtilisei were applied, including superphos phate and basic slag. The too-dressei is of the bl w?r type and is light and easily moved from place to place. 11 has sufficient power, however, to drive fertiliser from top to bottom of high steep hill faces. The equipment could also be moved easily on a sledge. Farmers who watched the demon stration were unanimous that this machine would go a long way toward solving the problem of top-dressing hill country.
