Reinstatement Of Former Scrum Urged At N.Z.R.U. Meeting

WELLINGTON, Last Night (PA). —Advocating the reinstitution of the two-three-two scrum formation, a Taranaki delegate to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union said at least 10 minutes of every game these days was wasted in trying to get the ball through the three front scrum. “As long as we have three front scrums we will get nowhere,” he said. JJe moved that there should be a recommendation to the council that the International Board be approached and urged to adopt the two front scrum. The motion was lost.
