Mr. W. Laird, Who Is Going Overseas On Health Trip, Farewelled By businessmen

On the eve of his departure overs-ps for a health trip, Mr W. Laird was the guest oi Wanganui businessmen yesterday at an informal morning tea. There were present Messrs K C. Lee and N. Maclean (Wanganui “Herald”), and E. R. Mara. Mr Lee, who presented Mr Laird with a cheque from friends and wellwishers, spoke eu logistically of his work in the field of publicity in Wanganui and expressed the hope that me sea trip anil rest would quickly bring back a restoral ion of health.
