Pheasants Purchased. The society had been successful recently in purchasing 30 young pheasants at a cost of 22s a heat, and these would be liberated at the end of the present season said the president (Mr. H. Manguson) at last night’s annual meeting of the Wanganui Acclimatisation Society. It was expected that the cost would be 30s a head by the time the birds were liberated, added the president. Another member stated that the Auck-| land Society had recently purchased 1200 pheasants at a cost of 30s a head.
